Killington Fire & Rescue Services provides the residents of Killington, Vermont, with fire and emergency medical first responders within the town. The Department also provides mutual aid to partner agencies throughout Rutland County. Founded in 1955, our team, made up of volunteers and career, is responsible for responding to emergencies 24/7 in a community that grows to over 25,000 on busy ski weekends. We pride ourselves on our quick response to all alarms. Our community is our priority, and we aim to be integral to keeping you safe.

Join Us for the Annual Killington Fire and Rescue BBQ Fundraiser!
Get ready for a sizzling summer event! The Killington Fire and Rescue Services are thrilled to announce our annual fundraising BBQ, happening at the town recreation fields on July 4th. Join us for a day filled with delicious food, fun activities, and community camaraderie.
Your support directly contributes to vital initiatives such as comprehensive training programs for firefighters, assisting fire victims in their recovery efforts, and organizing community risk reduction events.
We're also hosting an exciting silent auction, and we're currently accepting donations until June 30th. Help us make a difference in our community while enjoying a fantastic day out with friends and family.

1:30 PM - Kids Field Games at soccer field. No registration required.
3:00 PM - 50/50 Raffle Ends
3:30 PM - Belly Flop Contest
7:00 PM - Live Music by Summit Pond Quartet
9:00 PM - Fireworks show at Johnson Recreation Fields
9:00 PM Silent Auction Closes
Silent Auction Winners will be contacted within 24-48 hours of the event ending.

Burn Permits
Burn Permits - What You Need to Know
Burn permits are required whenever you plan to burn piles of brush and/or leaves, such as when cleaning your yard. No permit is required for a small campfire.

For a burn permit, please contact the town Fire Warden/ Captain Mark Fiore, at 802-779-4062 (during regular business hours)

-Only natural, untreated wood. Examples: logs, branches, limbs, cuttings, stumps, brush, leaves, slab wood or pallets.
- Items that may NOT be burned include paper, cardboard, tires, or other rubber products; treated, painted, or finished wood; tarpaper, asphalt shingles; plastics of any kind; or household/commercial garbage.

- Use of petroleum-based accelerants of any kind is strictly prohibited.
